Per il Panathlon Club Lugano, il sostegno mirato ai giovani talenti riveste un ruolo particolarmente significativo. Per questa ragione nel 2019 è stato creato un fondo, alimentato grazie anche al prezioso contributo di AIL e BancaStato, atto ad attribuire un sostegno finanziario a giovani talenti scelti fra gli sportivi domiciliati nella Svizzera italiana, con priorità a coloro che risiedono nella giurisdizione del Club.

We are excited to announce that today 2nd of August, during the Paris Olympics, a collaborative event will take place among four IOC-recognized organizations that have common programs and synergies .
This meeting will be an important opportunity to strengthen the profile of the Olympic Community addressing different aspects of the Games and its various stakeholders. It is a unique opportunity that brings together four long-standing organizations: the Panathlon International, the International Pierre de Coubertin Committee (CIPC), the International Fair Play Committee (CIFP), and the International Society of Olympic Historians (ISOH) with the aim of deepening mutual understanding .
For PI, our International President Giorgio Chinellato will be present who, together with Past-President Pierre Zappelli and other panathletes/executives, will have the task of dialoguing and analyzing how we can be stronger, “together”!

Olympic athletes call for peace from the Olympic Village

IOC President Bach: “You are the peace ambassadors of our time”
Hundreds of Olympic athletes representing the athletes of the territories of all the 206 National Olympic Committees (NOCs) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Refugee Olympic Team made a powerful call for peace. Four days before the Opening Ceremony of the Olympic Games, they gathered in a solemn moment in the Olympic Village. Wearing scarfs with the message “Give peace a chance” and holding flags with the same words, they emphasised the powerful role that sport can play to foster peace and mutual understanding. The event included athletes from NOCs whose countries are currently in conflict or war with each other.
Panathlon Club Graz - "Grazer Laufcup"

Panathlon Graz has participated at "Grazer Laufcup" for children and sponsored schools with most participants. It took place two times and was also a really good possibility for publicity...
Der Grazer Laufcup ist eine seit über zwanzig Jahren vom Sportamt Graz organisierte dreiteilige Veranstaltung. Sie soll Grazer Schulkindern die Freude an Bewegung vermitteln, eine Abwechslung zum Schulalltag bieten und sie zu mehr sportlicher Aktivität motivieren.
Am 15. Mai 2024 fand bei schönem Wetter im Stadtpark der 1. Teillauf des 19. Grazer Laufcups für Schulen in drei Altersgruppen statt.
Etwa 800 sportbegeisterte Kinder waren auf der Laufrunde durch den Stadtpark unterwegs, wobei jeder Lauf 30 Minuten dauerte und die in dieser Zeit gelaufene Rundenanzahl gewertet wurde.
Neben anderen Sponsoren wie GRAWE, GIGA Sport etc. hat der Panathlon International Club Graz einen Preis für die Schule mit den meisten teilnehmenden Kindern in der Höhe von 200 Euro verliehen. Unser Club war durch den Präsidenten Herrn Hugo Schuster und Frau Hedda Strasser-Paierl vertreten.
Beim dritten Teil des Laufcups, der am 11. Juni 2024 unter hervorragenden Bedingungen bei bester Stimmung und unter Beteiligung von 930 Kindern stattfinden konnte, hat unser Mitglied Hedda Strasser-Paierl den von unserem Club gesponserten Preis in der Höhe von € 200 zwei Schulen mit den meisten Teilnehmer:innen verleihen können:
Die VS Gabelsberger und die BIPS Krones waren die strahlenden Gewinner.
Die gute Laune der Anwesenden auf den Fotos springt förmlich über und soll uns alle zu mehr Bewegung motivieren. Wir freuen uns jedenfalls schon auf das nächste Jahr!
